Pat LaFontaine

Pat LaFontaine spent the 1983-84 season with the United States National Team and was the club's leading scorer at the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics before making his NHL debut with the New York Islanders on February 29, 1984. He's gone on to be a scoring star with the Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers.

In addition to his Olympic experience in 1984, LaFontaine has represented the United States at the World Championships in 1989 and at the Canada Cup in 1987 and 1991. He was a member of the American team that beat Canada at the World Cup of Hockey in 1996 and also played for the U.S. Olympic team in Nagano in 1998.
