Darius Kasparaitis

Played defense for Russia/CIS at both the 1992 World Junior Championship s and World Championships. He won a junior gold medal and was named best defenseman in 1992. He also won a gold medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics and played for Russia at the 1992 World Championships, the 1996 World Championships and World Cup and the 1998 Olympics. He made his NHLdebut with the Islanders in 1992-93 after having played for Moscow Dynamo. He missed most of the 1994-95 season after undergoing reconstructive knee surgery.
