Tomas Sandstrom

Right winger Tomas Sandstrom was named best forward at the 1982 European Junior Championships where his Swedish team captured the gold medal. He played in the World Junior Championships in 1983, capturing similar individual honors. He began a productive NHLcareer in 1984-85 and has registered 40-or-more goals in 1986-87 with the Rangers and in 1990-91 with the Los Angeles Kings. He reached the Stanley Cup finals with Los Angeles in 1993 and was part of a Cup winner with Detroit in 1997. He played for Sweden at the IIHF World Championships in 1987 and 1989; at the 1991 Canada Cup; and at the 1998 Olympics. Star Player Photo
