International One of the best players in the history of Austrian hockey ... He played in 83 games for the National Team collecting 29 goals and 43 assists for 72 points ... Starred at the World and European Championships in the late 1970s and 1980s ... Was named the Best Defenceman of the tournament in 1979 (Pool B) and 1985 (Pool B) ... Voted to the All-Star team in 1979 (Pool B), 1981 (Pool C), 1982 (Pool B), and 1985 (Pool B).

Career Began his hockey career with HC Salzburg ... Later played for Wiener EV, VSV Villach and EHC Lustenau ... Spent nine seasons in the Austrian Bundesliga ... Saw action in 296 games, collecting 224 goals and 373 assists for 597 points and 746 penalty minutes. He also played with the Ottawa Nationals and Toronto Toros in the World Hockey Association from 1972-73 to 1975-76.
