Sepp Puschnig


Born on September 12, 1947 in Klagenfurt, Austria. Forward. Sepp Puschnig played for Klagenfurter AC from 1959 to 1987 and recorded 190 goals and collected 296 assists in 299 league games. Puschnig also represented Austria in a total of 127 international games which included three Olympic Winter Games. His first Olympic experience came at the age of seventeen in his home country in 1964. His other Olympic appearances were in 1968 in Grenoble and again in Innsbruck in 1976. Sepp Puschnig has also played eleven times at various IIHF World Senior Championships and received the IIHF Directorate Best Forward Award in the 1972 Pool C Championship. As a team leader, Puschnig's "never-quit" attitude was demonstrated on the ice, always sacrificing himself for the success of his red and white national team.
