Vladimir Zabrodsky

Vladimir Zabrodsky was a star forward for the Czechosolvakian national team. He helped his country win the 1947 IIHF World Championship in Prague, when Czechoslavakia outscored their opponents by 85-10, and one year later in St.Moritz when the Czechosolvakian squad captured Olympic silver. Zabrodsky captured his second IIHF World Championship title in 1949 in Stockholm, and also gained a bronze medal in 1955 in Krefeld, Germany. On all these winning teams, Vladimir Zabrodsky played the key role in the success of the teams. He left Czechoslovakia and became a coach in Sweden in the 1960's. He was added to the IIHF Honour Roll in 1997.
