Erich Kuhnhackl


Erich Kuhnhackl was born October 17, 1950 in Citica, Czechoslovakia. He emigrated with his parents to Germany in 1968 after finishing his junior ice hockey career. Kuhnhacki participated in the IIHF World Championships nine times: in 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1985. He played at the Olympic Winter Games in 1972 in Sapporo, in 1976 in Innsbruck winning bronze, and in 1984 in Sarajevo. Kuhnhackl won the scoring title at the 1978 IIHF World Championship and repeated the title in 1984 at the Olympic Winter Games in Sarajevo. He won four national championship titles in Germany and scored 725 goals in 773 games. Kuhnhacki represented Germany in 211 national team games scoring 131 goals. He has coached various German national teams since the early 1990's.
